How it works
The stable Swift source contains a TimelineScrubberView with time and playback-control bindings. Static repository search found the view definition and documentation references but no production callsite.
The view's controls alone do not establish a replay engine, terminal-state reconstruction, or a user workflow for choosing a recording. The audited stable source does not substantiate claims of replaying or scrubbing a session.
The unreleased Rust/GPUI candidate source contains replay-text logic and a Session Timeline menu item. That is candidate source evidence, not stable functionality or proof of runtime acceptance.
Why it matters
Session replay should only be advertised when users can open a recording and move through its state in the shipped app. The stable source audit found view scaffolding without that end-to-end path.
