The pain this solves
- Tabs containing recognized agents can be hard to distinguish from plain shell tabs.
- A logo or color may be absent for some tools or hidden by display settings.

How it works
When automatic tab themes are enabled, Chau7 maps a recognized command name to a configured tab color. A manual tab-color choice takes precedence over the automatic color.
Tab logos are a separate display option. Chau7 shows a logo only when tab icons are enabled and an image asset exists for that agent; the registry does not define a logo or tab color for every supported CLI.
In stable v0.5.1, OpenCode is detected and resumable but has no registered logo asset or automatic tab color. The branding reflects available metadata, not a guarantee that every recognized agent gets its official mark or that the color changes with every live process transition.
Why it matters
Color and available icons can help distinguish supported agent tabs from plain shells at a glance. The visual cue is optional and only as complete as the stable app’s color mappings and bundled logo assets.
In the Rust/GPUI candidate
The unreleased Rust/GPUI candidate at commit 350d851b457e adds an OpenCode logo asset to its tab bar. Stable v0.5.1 detects and resumes OpenCode but its registry has no OpenCode logo or tab color.

Frequently asked questions
Do all detected agents get a logo and brand color?
No. Automatic colors exist only for tools with a color mapping, and logos exist only for tools with bundled images. OpenCode, for example, has neither in stable v0.5.1.
Can I override an automatic tab color?
Yes. A manual color override takes precedence over the automatic color. Automatic themes can also be disabled in settings.
Does the logo show active or idle status?
The tab icon is a coarse cue: it is brighter while the AI session is marked running and dimmer otherwise. Detailed session states are shown in the hover card.
